The Entomology Graduate Program, administered though the Department of Entomology, Soils, and Plant Sciences offers two research degrees. The MS and PhD degrees require student to conduct research leading to the writing of a thesis (MS) or dissertation (PhD). Students also may pursue a non-thesis MS degree in Plant and Environmental Science with an emphasis in entomology.

The Entomology faculty are known for their commitment to teaching and working with students. They are at the forefront of research in their areas and are national and international leaders in their fields in four primary research areas — Applied Agricultural Entomology, Arthropod Biodiversity, Insect Molecular Genetics, and Urban Entomology.

Date, Time and Location of Defense is due in writing (hard copy or e-mail) to Enrolled Services 10 days prior to defense.

Take oral and/or written exam (GS7) - July 25, 2008

Submit completed thesis or dissertation for format approval from the Manuscript Review Office - July 25, 2008 (The only revisions you may make after this date are formatting revisions requested by the Manuscript Review Office.)

All revisions requested by the Manuscript Review Office must be completed and approved by the Manuscript Review Office - August 1, 2008 (This date should also appear at top of Approval Page.)
