Clemson University Entomology Club

Clemson Entomology Club members pick up trash during August Adopt-a Highway pickup.

Members of the Clemson University Entomological Society showed their community spirit at this month's Adopt-a-Highway pickup.  Pictured above are (from left to right) Drew Tebeau, Jinbo Song, Ying Mo, Holly Tuten, Dustin Swanson, Jonathan Cammack, and Richard Reeves.  If you would be interested in helping out at the next Adopt-a-Highway day, please contact Holly Tuten at htuten@clemson.edu.

The Clemson University Entomology Society (Entomology Club) is open to anyone in the Clemson community who has an interest in insects. Full-time students make up the core membership, but faculty and staff also participate in Entomology Club events.

The Entomology Club sponsors student travel to scientific meetings and sends teams to both the Linnaean Competition at branch and national meetings of the Entomological Society of America (ESA) and to the ESA graduate student debates. Club members participate in Extension and community service projects, including honey bottling and sales, and public school outreach.

Each semester, the Entomology Club sponsors an invited speaker for the departmental seminar series. The club also organizes social events for the department, such as an annual spring barbecue picnic.
