Peter H. Adler, Ph.D.AREAS OF INTEREST
My research focuses on the systematics, ecology, and host associations of biting midges in the genus Culicoides (Diptera: Ceratopogonidae). These small flies are of medical and veterinary importance because of the parasites and pathogens they transmit to vertebrate hosts. Other areas of interests include the systematics, ecology, parasite and pathogen transmission, and host associations for other genera of Ceratopogonidae and families of hematophagous Diptera.EDUCATION
